The Clwyd Pension Fund and the Local Government Association (LGA) both offer various resources for employers, to help you meet your LGPS responsibilities.
The link below takes you directly to the LGPS Regulations and Guidance website, where you can find, among other things, the LGPS rules, and guides from the LGA on a wide variety of topics about the scheme.

Notification of Leaver Form Template
When an LGPS member stops paying pension contributions through either opting out or leaving employment in a specific job, please complete a Notification of Leaver Form and submit it to the Clwyd Pension Fund through iConnect. We can then process the member’s benefits, such as a refund of contributions, deferred pension, retirement, or death in service.
Amendment Leaver Form: Backdated Pay Template
If you need to change the pay details you have previously supplied to us on a Notification of Leaver Form, please use the form below. For example, you may have paid arrears of salary due to a back-dated pay award. This form allows you to tell us the new salary we should use instead of the amount you originally stated on the Notification of Leaver Form.

Ill Health guidance
You can use the templates below for any ill health retirement cases you are currently processing. Please choose the correct template based on:
- Whether the member is paying into LGPS or LGPS Councillor
- Whether the member is still paying contributions into the pension scheme, or has stopped and now has a deferred benefit with us
- For deferred members, the date they stopped paying pension contributions

We offer training sessions on various LGPS matters, such as:

- Assumed pensionable pay
- How to complete a leaver form
- Any other bespoke training that you request
